You can also get access to a range of other online content from Viewster, Woomi, Box Office 365 and more through the Toshiba Places internet portal accessed via your TV at the touch of a button.
Featuring LED backlight technology, Full HD 1080p resolution and 100Hz picture processing, the SL863 series also delivers stunning colour, clarity and fast moving image quality that makes it ideal for fast moving sports and movies. Freeview HD allows access to terrestrial HD programmes, with other Smart TV features like Wi-Fi, DLNA and iPhone remote control (via app) capability also featured.

Supports Full High Definition 1080p resolution content, the highest definition resolution currently available - offering outstanding picture quality and lifelike image reproduction. Ideal for sports, movie and documentary enthusiasts.
LED technology
An advanced backlighting system that guarantees new levels of picture clarity by constantly adapting to the images on the screen. Colours are made more vibrant and contrast between light and dark is more pronounced, providing dramatically improved performance, whilst overall energy consumption and the thickness of the TV is also reduced. Response times are also quicker so fast moving image quality is improved.
Access to Freeview HD channels
Built-in Freeview HD is the easiest way to enjoy free-to-air terrestrial HD broadcast for free. You can also access up to 50 standard definition Freeview digital TV channels and 24 radio stations. No subscription, no contract, no fuss. Also includes built-in 8 day electronic programme guide.
100Hz picture processing
Toshiba’s 100Hz Active Vision M100HD picture processing technology provides vivid images and ultra smooth refresh rates. Motion blur is drastically reduced in fast moving pictures, such as action sequences or sports, delivering more defined movement on screen.
Resolution+ image enhancement
Instantly upgrade everything you watch to near High Definition quality. Our award winning Resolution+ upscaling technology, which has been improved and re-engineered to upscale any non-1080p source to provide sharper and clearer images with improved edge detail and better textural content of the final image.
AutoView ambient light sensor
AutoView technology automatically adjusts picture settings depending on not only room lighting, but also the content being watched. The ambient light sensor constantly adjusts the TV’s backlight to provide a better viewing experience. In light rooms backlight is increased, in dark rooms backlight is dimmed.
Access to online entertainment content
Check out your favourite videos via YouTube, catch up on your favourite shows on BBC iPlayer and share photos via Flickr. You can also get access to a range of other online content via Viewster, Woomi, Box Office 365 and more through the Toshiba Places internet portal. All designed specifically for access via your TV remote control. Internet content can be accessed via this TV when connected to your home network (wirelessly via USB dongle or via Ethernet).
WiFi and DLNA capable
Wi-Fi allows you to wirelessly connect your TV to the internet (via optional wireless dongle), with DLNA technology giving you access to content stored on your compatible Windows 7 laptop over your home network. DLNA allows you to stream multimedia content including music, video and images to be enjoyed on your TV. Windows 7 certified.
Personal TV custom viewing
Personal TV allows you to save your preferred settings including volume levels, picture settings and favourite channel lists for tailored viewing. You can switch between normal and up to four personalised modes at the touch of a button, without having to manually adjust each time.

USB connectivity provides an easy way to playback your compatible videos, music and photos directly via your TV.
iPhone remote control application
